Wade Cable has more than 30 years of experience in operational and financial management for companies throughout Southern California. He recently retired as director, president and chief operating officer of William Lyon Homes, Inc. Under his leadership, Forbes Magazine rated William Lyon Homes the second best managed company in 2005. In the early 1980s, Wade served as a senior executive for Pacific Lighting Real Estate Group, where he oversaw large-scale developments,including three million square feet of commercial space in downtown Los Angeles. He also led the acquisition of The Presley Companies, serving as chief executive officer until 1999.
Wade was responsible for taking The Presley Companies public and issuing the company's first bond offering of $200 million senior subordinated notes. During his tenure as CEO, Wade acquired the assets of William Lyon Homes and merged the two companies under the William Lyon Homes name.
He completed the advanced management program at Harvard Business School and has served on distinguished industry and charitable committees,including the Olive Crest Abused Children's Foundation and the University of Southern California's Executive Committee for the Lusk Center for Real Estate Development. He currently sits on the board of directors for the Tiger Woods Learning Center.
