David Philp

David Philp currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Canyon Equity. He possesses an extensive background in lodging and real estate spanning 25 years. Prior to joining the Canyon Group, he was President of Grafton Hospitality Corporation where he successfully orchestrated numerous M&A mandates and advised institutional investor on development initiatives and capital structuring. From 1999 to 2002, he was Chief Investment Officer for Florida-based Bluegreen Corporation and prior to that he served as VP – Acquisitions & Development for Sunterra Corporation. He has also held senior development positions with Doubletree Hotels Corporation, EDG Resorts and directed the hospitality consulting practices for Kenneth Leventhal & Company and Pannell Kerr Forster.

With more than 25 years of distinguished experience and expertise in real estate and investment banking, David provides guidance and advisory to Paladin in the areas of lodging, resort, and real estate development and management. David earned a B.S. from Cornell University where he majored in Hospitality Management and Development.
